Early Christmas

We had our family Christmas yesterday here at home before we go to Florida. We realize he doesn't quite understand Christmas yet - but he sure understands getting gifts. His dad got him his first train track. The starter set - I have a feeling there will be many many more Thomas gifts over the next few years... He hasn't put the train down.

He has also just started standing on his own and walking most of the time. Ben explained it like a beginner on ice skates that has to run into something to stop... that is exactly what he looks like with his arms straight out.

Yesterday was a huge day of growth for him. We watched him get better walking from the morning to the evening. It seemed to happen so quickly.

Comedian

Have we failed to mention what a jokester Keenan is these days? He is constantly trying to make us laugh by doing silly things. He is also going to be one of those people that laughs at his own jokes...it's too funny!

Pajama Play Date at Carolyn's

Bailey wasn't sure to know what to think about Keenan in her wagon. Then she started pushing him around - it was adorable!

Christmas play date

Trying to get a pic. of all the kids was too funny. These were only about half of them that were there. Believe it or not, I am thinking there were over 20 kids at one point in the evening.

Our First Fisher Christmas Tree

So it was very important to bring home a special tree for Keenan this year from Ben's family tree farm (the Fisher Tree Farm). It made it through a 12 hour- two day drive on top of our car (through a snow storm and rain storm - therefore - we are very proud. Keenan is at an age that ornaments are absolutely not an option.

Wanting to still have it decorated I tried to get a little creative and make a Santa Claus tree. This was a year we wanted the tree to look like it was done specifically for Keenan - and not a fancy dressed up tree. So here is Keenan's very own special Fisher Santa Tree.

Fisher Christmas Tree Farm

We love going home to the tree farm and this year we had all the kids out there together - Anna, Audrey, Riley and Jack on the hay ride to pick out their own Christmas trees.

Thanksgiving in South Bend with the Fishers

Keenan got to play with his cousin Elaina over the holiday weekend. They were so cute! We opened presents early for Christmas from his Great Grandma Pat and an adorable ornament from Great Grandma Bonnie - being that we won't see them over the holiday.

The car was actually for his first birthday - but he was surprised with it this week because it was too big to ship. We had a lovely Thanksgiving meal in Kalamazoo Michigan with Grandma Cindy's brothers family and all the Aunts/Uncles and cousins. Keenan walked across the room for the first time with a huge audience. He is such a ham and loves the attention.

Play date

Alex and Keenan met while still in the womb at water aerobics class. This was taken about a month ago at Alex's very first 'official' play-date. They had been on many stroller walks together but finally they could crawl around and make each other laugh.

Bone Bash

It's over... and it was a great success. If estimated I would say $35,000 was raised, yet that was about $20,000 short of my goal. It was hard being a Thursday night - but we did the best we could for the night we had to work with! Unfortunately - as you can tell from pics. - I had no fun costume after already being at the venue for 11 hours straight before the doors opened... I was too pooped to care. Therefore, Ben was the uni-bomber and I was a 'make shift' rocker chic...

Ghouls at Grassmere

Tonight was our first real dress up in a Halloween costume. Keenan was Skynard (Ben's dog that lives at his parents). He absolutely hated the costume. We went to the zoo Halloween event and there were so many people. It was fun that Jonathan and Jennifer (soon to be married next weekend) joined us, although I am not sure how fun it was for them. Also, Thomas, Owen, Nico, Harland, Jimmy, and Molly (Keenan's friends) joined in on the fun as well. Thomas and Owen were giraffes, Molly was a poodle, Nico was a monkey, Jimmy was a dragon and Harland had on the cutest Halloween outfit. This event will be so much fun as they all get a little older. Keenan was tired and cranky but he put up a good fight. Here are some pics.
