I love that Keenan has two older cousins to look up to (Andrew/Aden) and two cousins close to his same age to grow up with...




I now am encouraged to call Joey Pippin (Lifetime Portraits) to schedule our one year pictures! He is fantastic and I've been putting it off for way too long! http://www.lifetimeweddings.net/ He still has our wedding picture up on the front page. We feel honored!!!

Mom's Night Out

I was very excited to get out for a much needed dinner this week with our fun group of friends. Ben was nice enough to have some 'boy time' with Keenan. FireFly has the best food and took great care of us!!!

Story Time

Ben decided last minute to not just take the afternoon off but the morning too so we could all go to story time today at the downtown library. He has been gone so much lately that it was nice for him to see Keenan in his play element with other kids. We met Keenan's new friend Baily (and mom Carolyn) and they enjoyed each other way more than they enjoyed the puppet show. We decided he is just too young for that special show they put on today. We will have to stick with the regular story hours but it was still fun to try it out. We ate at the french bakery Provence afterwards outside. Keenan ate my salad and we have learned that he really likes lettuce (who knew?)

 

 

 

 

Did we happen to mention he loves the camera. He is quite a poser when we point it at him.

HAPPY NEWS

I would just like to say how happy we are to have this wonderful news that Ben's dad is cancer free. This just goes to show what we always knew about him - that he is strong physically and mentally and can beat any odds! They have had so much support and prayers being sent their way for months which (of course) shows how many lives he has touched.

We couldn't be happier....I take that back, we would be a lot happier if he was feeling good, gaining more weight and didn't have to use the feeding tube ~ But with that said ~ it is situations like this that make us all believe in something bigger than us.

So in honor of him - we just want to say Congrats and we can all breath a little easier this week!

Play Date at Zoo

Yesterday was so beautiful we did a spur of the moment play date at the zoo. It seems many of us were dying to get out to enjoy the weather because it was a great turn out. Although the moms get more into the animals then the kids, we all had a blast!

Thomas & Keenan

Keenan had fun at the zoo a few weeks back with Thomas. He also really enjoyed borrowing his rocking horse.

A quirk we want to remember

So Keenan is absolutely fearless - he is into everything, loves anyone and is quite independent. He is so social and very inquisitive about anything and everything, including all animals, bugs, etc... BUT we have found the quirk - he is terrified of these toy balls that have fingers coming out of it. We are not sure if he thinks it is a live animal - but he is absolutely a mess everytime he sees one. We didn't want to forget this to tell him about when he is alittle older. I am sure he will be tickled to know how scared he is of a toy someday. Therefore, just an FYI - he has a birthday coming up and this is not on his list :) ha ha!!!

Backyard Swing

Our new nightly ritual...the backyard swing before bed. He loves it ~ and his dad about killed himself climbing the tree to get it up.

Nate's Excersice Ball

K-Ed had fun playing with Nate's work out ball at Tanya's Birthday bash. It was a long day so we didn't stay long, but he put on a good show for everyone.

I think this is the first picture we have of Uncle Ben and Elaina. She is growing so quickly and has such big blue eyes. She is sweet as can be and we couldn't get enough of her...

More Labor Day Weekend Family Pics.

We were able to visit Ben's family over Labor Day. Keenan has his picture with Aunt Judy in one of the pics. below and his cousin Elaina above. They were too busy moving around for us to get a good shot of them yet. We went to the zoo with Grandma Cindy and Aunt Liz. We also got a good photo of Grandpa Dave, Great Grandma Pat, Ben/Keenan and Grandma Cindy below. Ben and Grandpa Dave took Keenan for a walk through the tree farm and he fell sound asleep in the back pack. Anyone that has been around Keenan for a short amount of time, knows he doesn't ever just crash out - therefore this was a rare occasion. This little backpack we so generously received from our neighbors was a hit this weekend.

Play Group

Our friend Blair took some fun pictures of Keenan this week at our play group. He was into everything (including the dog food) - he likes to just crawl right over the top of all the other kids these days.

Labor Day Weekend

We decided last minute to go to South Bend to see Ben's family. We always stop in Indy on the way to see some of our friends (The Nace's and Ferretti's) - Keenan loves to play with Anna and Audrey. They are a little older but they show him the ropes. He really enjoyed going to the park and playing on the tractor. It was a beautiful morning and (of course) we all enjoyed it as much as the kids.
