Naked Baby

Keenan had a few changes this day - Mom didn't pack enough clothes. He sure enjoyed baby Piper. We spent our whole day there on Friday helping out ~ but more like hindering mom and baby. :)

Play Pictures

Just a few more pictures today - I had to document how he likes to stand at the door and laugh at Honey on the other side. He gets so tickled that they are on opposite sides of the glass.

On The Field...

Today wasn't the first time Keenan was on a soccer field, but it was the first day he actually showed interest. He had so much energy and enthusiasm towards all the kids and their soccer gear. They were all quite entralled with him as their coaches son. They were very curious about his stage in life and whether he could walk or talk. I was encouraged by 13 year old Cole to start him early on piano and guitar lessons. I think we will take his advice in the future.

At one point, Keenan was trying his hardest to get into the middle of the field with the guys as they practiced - he tried on two occasions to stand up on his own and looked like he was ready to run towards them. He would put his head on the grass out of frustration and try to do it again. I had images in my head of him just taking off in a sprint. He was definitely sprinting towards them in his head. He is thinking he wants to do things that his body just isn't ready to do yet. I can imagine that must be discouraging for him at times.

The boys won both games today ~ They claimed Keenan as their mascot and Im thinking he was a little good luck charm on the sidelines as well...

He is becoming quite famous for these - so called - 'Trump Moments' with his hair blowing in the wind (as in the second picture below)

First Time Swinging

This video goes back a couple months, but it was the first time Keenan was in a swing. His swinging pal - Frances - was kind enough to be on a date with him that day. He wasn't quite sure what to think about it all.

Piper is here!

Oh what a beautiful baby! I was in heaven in this picture holding her on her first day of life. What a huge priviledge and did it give me the itch... Rebecca and Clay are going to be the best parents and we could not be happier. We miss our families dearly but they help us pretend they are our Nashville 'family' and we cannot wait to watch this little girl grow over the years!

Have you ever seen a mom look this good after labor ~ seriously? If I didn't know any better I would say that I looked more like the tired, exhausted new mom in this picture.

GREAT DAY

We got wonderful news this morning about Grandpa Dave and then spent a lovely day today at the park swinging with Eleanor and Frances. Music was playing at the little cafe, ducks were quacking at us, snowcones were available, and the kids got filthy playing in the dirt. What fun! I thank God every day that I spend all these wonderful summer moments with Keenan. I made the best decision of my life to stay home with him and enjoy his growth during this first year of life. We have met some of the greatest friends ~

We can look at life differently today and take a deep breath, feeling very fortunate for all these moments. There is a huge peace that has come across me today - Life is too short to not slow down and enjoy every second.

We are tired!

So trying to explain how tired we've been lately with everything going on in our lives is impossible (especially Ben)- I saw this picture of my niece Chloe and honestly - it is too cute not to steal from her blog and post on mine ---the picture says a thousand words. So rather than explaining how we feel personally - this picture does our talking for us today.

WHEW - 'Im wiped out'... I can imagine this is what she is thinking...we can relate!

This is just too cute!

Stroller Strides

We started Stroller Strides in January this year when Keenan was just a baby. This group has become really close and we see each other 3 or 4 times a week with class and play dates. It was my saving grace mentally and physically as a new mom!!!

High School Friends

We had a great time at the 15 year high school reunion. It was hard to leave family to get to all the reunion events, but we did go out and enjoy seeing everyone! So much has changed, yet so much has stayed the same. I was glad to introduce Ben to so many people I grew up with in NE. He definitely got a taste of my high school years in Ktown ~ (cornfields, cows, and kegs - oh my:)

Special moments

It was a special moment for Grandma Susie and Grandpa John to get to hold both of their new grandchildren side by side. They were in hog heaven with all four grandchildren visiting.

Keenan loves to look at grandpa and this day it was a very serious stare. They were definitely talking with their eyes. This very well may be one of my very favorite pictures!

Kearney in July!

We had a wonderful time in Kearney this summer. Keenan got to meet his cousin Chloe for the first time (see pictures below). He also got to meet his uncle Mark for the first time as well. It was fun for us all to be there together. We went to the pool twice and Keenan loved going out to the lake and taking a boat ride. The weekend was packed full of events and the house was filled with cousins really getting to know each other.

Chloe and Keenan had on matching seersucker outfits! Ohhhh... I wanted to eat them up!!!

It was the prettiest day - weather was perfect!!!

Watching Dad Mow -

We have a few pictures we want to post from our fun trip to NE. We went to visit the family and also to attend my 15 year High School reunion. Im working on downloading the pics. but in the meantime Keenan is having fun today watching his dad mow the lawn.

We took Keenan to Nebraska as a baby and we swear we came back home with a different child (he is now a toddler)!! Time Flies!!!
