Today wasn't the first time Keenan was on a soccer field, but it was the first day he actually showed interest. He had so much energy and enthusiasm towards all the kids and their soccer gear. They were all quite entralled with him as their coaches son. They were very curious about his stage in life and whether he could walk or talk. I was encouraged by 13 year old Cole to start him early on piano and guitar lessons. I think we will take his advice in the future.
At one point, Keenan was trying his hardest to get into the middle of the field with the guys as they practiced - he tried on two occasions to stand up on his own and looked like he was ready to run towards them. He would put his head on the grass out of frustration and try to do it again. I had images in my head of him just taking off in a sprint. He was definitely sprinting towards them in his head. He is thinking he wants to do things that his body just isn't ready to do yet. I can imagine that must be discouraging for him at times.
The boys won both games today ~ They claimed Keenan as their mascot and Im thinking he was a little good luck charm on the sidelines as well...
He is becoming quite famous for these - so called - 'Trump Moments' with his hair blowing in the wind (as in the second picture below)
