Ghouls at Grassmere

Tonight was our first real dress up in a Halloween costume. Keenan was Skynard (Ben's dog that lives at his parents). He absolutely hated the costume. We went to the zoo Halloween event and there were so many people. It was fun that Jonathan and Jennifer (soon to be married next weekend) joined us, although I am not sure how fun it was for them. Also, Thomas, Owen, Nico, Harland, Jimmy, and Molly (Keenan's friends) joined in on the fun as well. Thomas and Owen were giraffes, Molly was a poodle, Nico was a monkey, Jimmy was a dragon and Harland had on the cutest Halloween outfit. This event will be so much fun as they all get a little older. Keenan was tired and cranky but he put up a good fight. Here are some pics.

In Honor Of Keenan's Big Day

A year ago today was the best day of our lives (to date). We were fortunate enough to have Amanda Smith be a part of our day by documenting it through video. She also was at our wedding with Lynette McNeal from McNeal Video. Both have become like family to us now! This video is priceless and it could not be more special to keep throughout the years. She did a wonderful job and we will never have a big day in our lives without having her or McNeal video there to document it. There is so much a video captured that pictures cannot. Keenan's First Cake Video - TOO CUTE!

He was all smiles when he had his Happy Birthday singing from everyone. He absolutely knew he was the center of attention at this party! Our favorite is when he goes head first into the cake. I think we scared him or he would of gone to town on it ~

Keenan's 1st Birthday Party

We had a fun birthday party on Saturday. We must have picked a good day because Keenan had lots of friends show up. I believe there were 9 babies his age - so fun! The weather was beautiful - so we grilled hotdogs and hamburgers outside and let Keenan dig into his very first cake. We let him get as messy as he wanted and then dumped him in the bath when done. He was in hog heaven and as you can tell from the pictures he had a little bit of a sugar high (or low) --- more like a food coma! Couldn't of been more proud ~ he was a mess...

Park Play Date

Our friend Carolyn just sent us this picture of Keenan and I in the park. I realized we don't have a lot of pictures of just the two of us, especially at this age. He has so much fun swinging - he could do it all day if we let him. He giggles and laughs and claps his hands. It is quite cute. Now when we sing 'if your happy and you know it' he automatically claps ~ we are proud ~ ha ha!!!
