I liked these!

These were some pictures that Rebecca took from Piper's birthday. I just now saw them and wanted to make sure I keep these in our 'scrapbook'. I love how Piper was patting his back and head on shoulder. Keenan sure likes her - and why wouldn't he? He has good taste! She is always one on our 'singing list' - Keenan likes to sing about his friends... "twinkle twinkle - Pipers Star..." "My Piper flies over the ocean...My Piper flies over the sea"... Etc. Etc... It's our favorite car past-time and he usually manages to remember all his friends so we sing the same songs at least a dozen times - over and over again. :)

Finley loves straws

Finley is getting so grown up all of a sudden. She loves drinking out of straws which cracks me up because it was well into 2 years old before Keenan 'got it' - She melts my heart daily.

Finley's hat lasted approximately one second but for that one second we sure did get a cute picture!

Soiree Pictures

Finley had a great party with lots of friends. She didn't want to get messy - so she used a fork instead of fingers. That's my girl! They had fun dressing up in tiaras, tutu's, boas, glasses, hats and playing games like pin the tiara/tutu on Finley, ball toss games and lots of crafts!

Baby Finley TURNS ONE

Today is the day ~ Tomorrow is the celebration! Today Keenan and Finley and I got to go to the doctor. fun fun. All was fine. We shopped a little - Finley had her first strawberry smoothie and loved it. Having a family dinner and getting ready to party tomorrow.

Start of Birthday mania

August seems to be the month for birthdays. Keenan had two (unfortunately we only got to attend one) this weekend. We had a play date birthday for Piper last week - we have a play date birthday for another friend Tuesday and one the following week. We have grandma Susie's birthday on Thursday and FINLEY'S FIRST BIRTHDAY ON FRIDAY - which we are celebrating Saturday. We then have another first birthday on Sunday - whew.... we are loving all this cake!

Piper turns 2 and Melissa comes to dinner

Our friend Piper turned two last week and we had a great time at the Peekaboo Playhouse early morning party. Finley bottom scooted around the place with ease and Keenan enjoyed every second!

Later our friend Melissa came over for dinner. She has been a family friend for years and she is wonderful with Keenan. She is our official 'story reader' and Keenan is always in awe of her!

First Time Keenan Takes Finley On a Walk

 

 

 

 

Keenan is such a good brother. He makes sure Finley's needs come first (most times) and always does what he can to make her laugh and smile. He dances for her - gives lots and lots of hugs and kisses - holds her hand and this weekend was his first time taking her on a walk. He pushed her up and down the street all by himself. Pride was in his face the entire time.

Driveway fun

 

 

 

 

Our driveway has been a huge playground for the kids these days. Keenan loves washing cars, playing with his toys, sidewalk chalk, you name it... and Finley loves watching it all go down.

Their favorite song they sing together is 'if you're happy and you know it clay your hands' - Keenan jumps up with big claps (see wagon pic). He chipped his tooth last week and although it doesn't bother him - his smile will look a little off for the next 6 years. :(
