May 2010 - Finley is getting her first tooth on the bottom. She is eating some finger foods now and loving it! Keenan is loving playing outside...sporting his glasses and figuring the world out - 100 questions at a time. It's so fun to see him think he is 'discovering' everything for the first time. "Look at this, guys" in the most excited voice you've ever heard - about everything from gumball machines to flagpoles to newspaper stands...you name it he is discovering it and making sure the world around him see's it too! True age of stopping to smell the roses.

Grammy/Papa visit

 

 

 

 

Grammy and Papa visited in May on their way through town. Finley enjoyed getting to know them better. We went to the park, papa showed Keenan how to hit his very first golf ball. We went to the toy store and we went swimming. We packed in the fun in a short amount of time. Wish we could have more days like this but we definitely make the best of the ones we have together!

Nashville Flood 2010 May 1st

Taken from our deck. This flood is one that will change Nashville forever. Keeping many friends and Nashvillians who have lost everything but the shirts on their backs and no flood insurance in our thoughts and prayers. It's been a sad and life changing week to witness such a natural disaster in person. We feel fortunate yet are there are no words to describe how helpless it feels to see so many so less fortunate.

Franklin Mainstreet Festival

We hit the mainstreet festival again this year. We try to go every year. Unfortunately it was so crowded since they had cancelled Saturday due to rain. We timed it perfectly to see Pappy and Western Swingers & Keenan had fun dancing. They play at Robert's a lot - so we hear them quite often and always enjoy!!! If you love traditional country you must check them out! They always keep it real! Did I mention some of best musicians on broadway (played with folks like Bill Monroe, Patsy Cline, Emmylou, Steve Earle,Chet Akins,Loretta Lynn and more) ---did I mention I am a fan :)

Music Together

A couple weeks ago was Keenan's last music class (4th session of them) but I think we'll start them back up again next session. He loves music class now and asks to go all the time. He sings songs from the classes everyday. I love that he gets into it and Finley went with us this last session. She did her rocking back and forth to the music and also liked shaking the instruments. Therefore, I think this is a great activity for us to do together.
