Christmas morning!

The best chaotic mess ever! The kids were so excited and although we were all so tired I think we were just as if not more excited then they were! Santa really went nuts this year! He must of thought we were all good this year!

White Christmas in Nashville!

17 years since Nashville has seen a white Christmas (which means none of us have seen one). This was taken at 6:45a.m. by Papa John heading into the house. It was such a pretty snow. Big thick flakes perfect for such a magical Christmas morning!

Elfcapades

This morning we woke up and found our elf had climbed up onto our special treat sacks for advent days. Each day before Christmas they get a treat bag and Carter had climbed up - taken one down and eaten all the chocolates! "That's so silly" was Keenan's first reaction. This is his favorite sentence these days.

Winter Wonderland at Opryland

Play group met at Opryland this last week. It was a blast. Mrs. Claus read stories to the kids and sang songs while they drank cookies and milk. The train ride was generously given to us for free with such a large group and Keenan got to see Santa for the first time this year. He told him he wanted Slinky Dog and Flo's Station. He wouldn't sit in his lap, he was a little stand offish. The hotel looks beautiful as always. I didn't doubt it would, but after the flood I couldn't imagine it would be the same. The lights were breathtaking! It was a cold night but with so many friends and so much fun we made sure to make it a great time!

Carter Our Magic Elf Arrived Last Night

Carter arrived last night and when we woke up this morning he was riding a train through our living room. He must of come in on the train from the North Pole. We wrote a letter to Santa to see if he could come visit us again this year when he was done helping with the toys. He brought his magic snowflakes that the kids sprinkle on him at night and then when we wake up in the morning we get to see what types of fun adventures Carter got into over the night.

He will have to leave us on Christmas Eve to go help Santa with the toys on the sleigh. His adventures will surely be documented here in the week though...so check back for Carter mischief.

Athen's Family Restaurant

Snowy days make us hungry for chocolate pancakes. Liza, Emelia and Allison met us for chocolate pancake breakfast/lunch! Although not much conversation happens between Allison and I - and the mess made is overwhelming and the kids constantly needing things while out - it is still a good time! I think Allison and I basically said hi and bye - and that was about it. :) But the food sure was good! :)
