Goodbye to 2!!!

We always find that putting them down the night before their birthday's is a bit bitter sweet. We have had such great times with Finley being two. She has totally come into her own personality. She is a talker. There is not a moment in my day where this girl isn't talking to me. She has worked on her independence and is getting better with her attachment issues. She is a strong personality that can take care of herself. She has a sweet sensitive heart and at times she treats me like she is the adult. She will calm me in any situation by her face and words and she has that special gift to giggle and laugh and give silly faces in times of frustration. She likes to tell me 'it's okay mama' :) or "good job mama" She has an old soul. Her favorite thing to do is perform...put on shows. Make up songs. Dance. She makes up stories and silly voices and practices faces in the mirror. Ive never seen a happier child. She is so strong willed nothing works on her for punishment... If we say eat your food Finley or you have to go to bed...she says "I want to go to bed" and she does it. If we say "you can't play with your toys because of such and such...she'll say "I don't want my toys mama" and she will seriously put whatever she is playing with in the trash. We would try to punish by taking her paci away (which is her obsession) and she threw it in the trash one night and didn't use it. She is a unique soul who is years ahead of the game. What a blessing it is for me to be surrounded by her daily and she teaches me a new way of looking at life. Happy Birthday sweet baby Finley!
